The Faith Journey of Mary Rachel

Solor Lutheran Church is presenting a Lenten worship series titled: “The Faith Journey of Mary Rachel” and is a five chancel drama series that will center on important times in Mary Rachel’s life and growth of her faith. Each of these times will be an event often celebrated in the church, such as baptism, confirmation, wedding, Easter Holy Communion and a funeral. Mary Rachel, and those around her will struggle in faith during each of these stages of her life, for the journey of faith is never easy. A “tempter”, representing the forces which call one away from God will be present in each stage of life. But the Christian is never alone. The voice of the Gospel and the Grace of God are always present as well, either through, “an angel” or the word. We all journey in faith and life, and we know the voices which pull us away from faith, and we know of the voices that keep us on the right path of Grace. Let us journey with Mary Rachel knowing her journey, and the journey for those around her, are not so different than our own.
